Happy 2009
Some of you might remember that I used to really enjoy my annual Superbowl trips to Las Vegas. I gave it up after 7 straight when my daughter was born, but it looks like this year I get to go back to the fun. It's a short trip, leave Buffalo Saturday 1/31 6am, leave Vegas just before Midnight 2/1 after the festivities. My friend Burgerbarb is definitely joining me, and Warrior21princess might as well. We're at the RED ROCK for their Superbowl party weekend, and I'll be sure to let all of you know how it is. Not sure I'll be able to do much gambling this time out, but will also report on what conditions I see for those interested in that. If anyone wants to pop by and say hi while we're at Red Rock, let me know here or my email. It should be a very intriguing Superbowl matchup with the STEELERS vs. CARDINALS.

Btw, can you believe we got roundtrip airfare, with travel insurance, for less than $160?!!!

Thanks, Mikey. I think our big party is at the alley, if I'm not mistaken. I can hardly wait to see how Red Rock's stacks up against some of the ones from the past like MGM Grand's, NYNY's, Treasure Island's. I am totally spoiled and want to stay there for every trip now.

Rooms at Red Rock are nicer than GVR's!

Patti and I both have invites to Superbowl parties but I've been shredding them. The parties are nothing but a junk food fest and we're on serious diets. Since I have little will power I'll watch the game from home.

Having stayed at both Red Rock and Green Valley Ranch, I find the Red Rock much more to my style, more modern and energetic.
