The casino picks you up at the airport in one of their limos. How much do you tip the driver when you get there?

Well...casino doesn't pick me up in a limo but I'd do $20 as well...unless I was occupying them for an hour or so in which case I'd probably tip a little more. If it's just a ride between airport and hotel, $20 is plenty.

$20 here as well. We usually take a town car service to the airport here and back as well. Mike tips $15 going and $20 coming back. Not sure why, but that's his deal.

I've done $20 and $40.
$40 for when the driver stopped to let us buy a 6 pack and cruised down the strip.

$ 60 minimum. Unless you are a cheap bastard from Elkford. Vegas workers live on Tokes.

If tipping that much, might as well save some money and take a cab.

I always call for a town car because to get to the Golden Nugget it isn't that much more than taking a taxi and I don't have to wait in that lengthy taxi queue. I tip $15.

I have always tipped $20 whether it was a casino limo or a company (usually Bell) limo. Once when we were transferring from the Rio to the Bellagio and wanted to go out to UNLV for some stuff, I wound up tipping $50 but that was the exception. We got hung up on some crowded campus streets and she had to do a 3 point turnaround in that limo. I figured that was worth a little extra for all the headache.

Pea, I suggest using Bell Trans Limos.. That is who I always use and they have never dissapointed. Their prices are very reasonable too.
Bell Trans Limo Web SpecialsAnd yes, $20 is about right unless service is exceptional.
Bell Trans took us (a friend of mine and his fiance) from the airport to the County Courthouse, waited for them to get their marriage license and then drove back down the Strip to Mandalay Bay all the while giving a history of the hotels as they had never been to Las Vegas before.. I tipped him $120.... Well worth it.

Meat goers just aheads up I just got off the phone with Tony, he told me to be very aware of where your cabbie is taking you, there is alot of long hauling going on right now the cab companys are REALLY pushing the cabbies hard on this, even firing many who wont do it, so insist on the route you want to take, and dont back down, most rides now will cost you 10 bucks extra or more if you are unaware. Its because of the economy and lack of business, the unions are fighting with the companys over the firings blah blah, its a big mess.
So just be aware

Thanks, Deb. What do you say, though, when they ask you specifically which street you do want to take? They do that sometimes. All I know is Not the Tunnel, but I don't know the names of the back streets.
Maybe I can use Tony to get to GVR. I don't remember him that night, it wasn't me there. Or I don't remember.

Our limo driver took what some would consider a long haul this last trip but he explained that it would be the quicker trip since there was some construction
delays on the shorter route. I really didn't care as the limo was comped so he could have taken us thru Henderson for all I cared.

I've travelled to a lot of places and been in a bunch of cabs, and hands down the Las Vegas cabbies are the worst. Best cabbies/taxi drivers=London. Those guys are forced to do "the knowledge" test before they are even allowed to step foot in a cab. They drive around London on mopeds with a clipboard attached to the handlebars with street maps for weeks or months until they pass.
