September?

October?

November?

for those interested the breeders cup this year is november 6-7
BCMike
July 4th?

Looks like I'll be open for any... I'll check the hotel rates before I chime in though. We always seem to pick the most expensive weekend possible.

It's already May so July would be a bit too soon for me. My vote would be mid-October.

The Second week of October will be good for us.

It looks fairly slack for conventions also. That may help on prices.

I would only be able to go away until October 10 (around there, my freind at work is going to Italy for 14 days with her family and we cant both be off at the same time, unfortunately, after that its just getting to cold for me.
Big Tip
Somebody should start a poll or something.

I got a freaking offer for Planet Hollywood through the end of June with 2 free nights. Why do they always send me good offers the week I get back?

October 10th is one of my nieces birthdays so I'd like to be back for that since I missed one to be at the Spring meet.. of course, I could just leave early or what not.

Mike I'll Guarantee you'll get an offer in the fall, Vegas is hurting big time from what I saw last week I'm already getting offers since I just got back last Wednesday.

I don't know what you saw but when we were there during the meet Vegas was jammin'. Every casino we went to had tons of people playing. Maybe it was due to certain events that were happening then, but it sure looked like it was anything but hurting.

Right now, we are a little uncertain about the fall meet. We're thinking about taking a week in Myrtle Beach and visiting some of my wife's family (for a day laugh.gif). If we do Vegas again it might be a quick trip in early December, but nothing's been decided yet. Depends on how the fall meet works out.

That's the truth! BCMike and I kept commenting, as we walked around Sunday night, that it was as busy as we had ever seen it. And it was SUNDAY night. But I did just read that the Strips gaming revenue was down 10% from the previous year.

If that's true, then they really have nothing to complain about. 10% is nothing compared to what most other industries are down. Put another way, they could also say that their revenues are 90% of what they were last year and that's pretty damn good in my book.

Maybe people are gambling a little less, but they're still there eating and drinking, shopping, and paying for hotel rooms. The casinos should be grateful they're doing the amount of business that they are.

10% in most businesses is huge. In some, where the difference in profitability and loss is measured in the tenths of a percent, a 10% loss of revenue would be devastating.

Ask the automakers or the airlines or the retailers if they would take a 10% loss vs. what they're experiencing now. I didn't mean to infer that 10% was a trivial amount of money. It's not. My point was that considering the times we're in, it could be a hell of a lot worse.
Red Faldo
Strip revenue down 10%??...It's got to be worse then that with the deals they're giving.
