Rather than dredging up the nonsense of the other 24 thread, here is one for the 2 hour season finale on Monday, May 18.

There are still some loose ends. Now they have Kim, so will Jack try and get Tony free? Will Jack find a cure for the virus? Will they find the people behind all this?

What about Olivia? She screwed up, bad. President Mom is not going to be happy.

And finally, will Chloe beat the crap out of Janis? (crosses fingers)

This season has gone by fast. With hockey on Mondays the last few weeks, my 24 schedule's been interrupted. No hockey this Monday, though. Just a great night of 2 hours of 24.

This might sound stupid but do you think they are blackmailing Tony like they are Jack? Maybe he is actually good? I wonder how Jack is gonna get cured? I dont see him dying as Keifer signed on for season 8. I too have had to DVR the last few weeks with Hockey on. But I think I will record it again and start about 45 minutes in so I can skip the commercials.

Rather disapointed by last night's finale. Couldnt stand the crap with the president's daughter. Looks like that will be a big storyline in season 8. I wonder if Jack will be pissed off when he wakes up alive rather than dead?

I also thought it was a bit of a let-down. Seemed like they were trying to wrap everything up and ran out of time. I had heard that Olivia (presiden't daughter) commits suicide. Evidently not, but they did spend too much time on it. I liked what happened to Tony. He never got what he really wanted. I would have like to have seen Agent Walker smack the daylights out of that Alan guy but it was implied, as was Kim's saving Jack. The last hour was a little weak, but a good season overall. They left some good lead-ins for next season. Speaking of which:

Season 8 begins Jan 17 with 2 hrs on Sun and 2 on Mon. CTU is back, and it's set in NYC. Renee is back and so is Pres Taylor. Chloe also returns. There is new head of CTU. No word on what Jack does or if Tony is in it, but I'd bet he's there. Haven't heard anything about Kim. Rumor is that next season will be the last as Kiefer Sutherland's contract is up and after that, maybe some 24 movies. I'll miss the show, but 8 years is a good run these days with all the stupid reality shows, which I hate. They're cheaper to produce, and that's the bottom line.

So now it's wait till next year. I'll probably watch Seasons 5-6-7 on DVD this summer, like I always do. Watched 1-4 again last year. It's interesting to see what you missed the first time around.
