105 today in the shade on our patio....so we booked a Vegas trip for August to go cool off.
Have 4 nights booked at the Wynn @ $109/nite, but might switch to the TI for $69/nite & get two free Mystere tickets.

Way to go, Sco.
It's 5C here this morning so we're going in late July to actually see what a hot summer is all about.

Guess Sco is ignoring me - oh well.
Chmie, hope you do better this trip gambling wise. You always stay downtown right?
Have a good time.

I am a wimp will stay far away from Vegas in the summer. It gets above 80 and I'm not a happy camper, don't do heat well.
But hope all you going enjoy yourselves.

I'm sure you will really cool off in Vegas in August

I'm not great with heat either and other than one time going in the summer we have now settled on April and/or October for our Vegas trips. Perfect weather there that time of year.

Yup, always at Fitzgeralds since we are treated really well for minnows.
This time we plan on driving home thru Death Valley, Reno and the Oregon coast just for a change.

Ennajean & Bonnie, nice & cool in the casinos! In fact I usually have to wear a sweater or flannel shirt when gambling.
Chmie, I'm planning a trip to Vegas after my Chicago trip - probably early August. However I'm a "strip snob", haven't been downtown for over 10 years. But if our trips ever coincided I would hop a taxi down there to meet you, you make me laugh alot on the board with your witty posts.

No I ain't, Sweetheart.
Sometimes it's easy to forget where I've posted stuff.
We're booked August 24th - four nights. Haven't made flight reservations yet.
Still thinking about the TI deal.

I went last August. Stayed inside from noon to sunset and was fine with the heat.

About the only time we venture outside in Vegas during August is to get to the rent car.
However, I notice Dollar's rates for our dates are more than double what we paid in January.
