Just watched Mama Mia and Gran Torino over the weekend. The grocery store near me now has a machine that dispenses movies. It's really neat, but I bet most of you have seen one already and I'm just now getting exposed.
So, I'm leaning toward Benjamin Button for the next one. Any alternative opinions?

Benjamin Button is an interesting movie. It's long and there's not a lot of action but it held my interest. It's definately different and you might like it.
Saw Gran Torino last weekend. Thought it was ok, but not one of Eastwood's better films. I didn't care for the ending at all.
If you like WWII flicks, Miracle at St. Anna is excellent. Defiance with Daniel Craig is good, too, from an historical perspective. Valkyrie wasn't bad either, but I'm not a huge Tom Cruise fan. Interesting story, though.

Hi Sipsey,
Is it Redbox?
I'd recommend Pan's Labrynith if in a serious mood, Anchorman if silly, 21 if Vegas-y, and Punisher:WarZone if kick ass.

Benjamin Button was thought-provoking...and very long. Reminded me of Forrest Gump (except it didn't have as many funny moments) because it spans such a long period of time (1930's - present day) and Benjamin had lots of adventures.
Goutman mentioned Pans Labyrinth...very interesting flick...but borderline scary. There are some kinda gruesome parts (but not exactly gore IIRC) The storyline is fascinating, and the film itself is very well done (it got robbed at the Oscar's)
Valkyrie was decent.
Taken with Liam Neeson was a fairly enjoyable action type movie.
I watched Yes Man with Jim Carrey on our last flight to Vegas and I really liked it.
Appaloosa is a good western with Ed Harris and Viggo Mortensen.
Bride Wars is cute.

Try "The Wrestler" -
I just saw it.
As somewhat disturbing, it is for me, to look
at Mickey Rourke's altered face ---
the guy "made" this movie.
Casting him was genius !

Try "Slumdog Millionaire".. It was better than I thought it would be.
"Cadillac Records" is good if you like 50's music... It is the story of Chess Records.. Stars Adrian Brody.. Good cast.
"The International" with Clive Owen is pretty good too.

I agree with Marc! Slumdog was a good movie.
Looking at the Red Box sight, I would also suggest Milk, W., Hancock, Tropic Thunder, Religulous, The Professional, As Good As It Gets, and Australia.

Watched "Knowing" the other night. Thought it wasn't too bad. Weird ending but it did hold my interest.

LL ending up renting "Knowing" Friday night Another numerology thing. It was okay.
Goutman, the machine doesn't have a name on it, that I can tell. I don't know what brand it is. It looks kind of like a cooler with a glass front, so you can see the actual DVDs in stock at the moment. You pick one with a number/letter combination like in a vending machine. Which is more or less what it is, with the ability to take it back once you are done with it. It's great for me because the rental places in my neighborhood have all shut down.
