We stayed overnight at Seneca on June 30. The room was quite large, with a big flat screen and a very large bathroom. No bathtub though, but a large shower.

Cost was 200.00! Yikes, it would actually have been a couple dollars cheaper to stay at Fallsview, but we wanted to give it a try. Lots of machines to choose from and it wasn't really crowded.

We had dinner at the buffet and I just about fell over when they asked "smoking or non-smoking?" The food was decent, hot steamed crab legs, that people were eating by the dozens, prime rib and plenty of the usual fixings.

We had breakfast in the cafe as the buffet wasn't open on Thursday morning. Decent food, but fairly small portions, which was shocking in the US, where usually everything is larger.

All the staff we dealt with were friendly and helpful, but I must admit for an Indian casino, I didn't see any native Americans. At Rama, here in Ontario there are lots of natives employed by the casino.

We played for about 5 hours on Wed night, went to bed about 2 and got up at 6 to play some more.

Biggest hit I had was to take 550.00 out of a 1 cent fireball machine, which was nice, but of course we gave it all back before we left.

What shocked me the most was their slot club. It takes 170.00 through the machine to earn a point and a point is worth 1.00 in comps

We probably won't be bothered crossing the border again as Fallsview is nicer and at least you get cashback. Of course if they were to send us a wonderful offer, you never know.

$200? What ever happened to the bargains that used to exist because the casinos made their money from the gambling? June 30 was mid-week, also, you'd think the rates would have been less.

Is that a far distance for you to travel for one night? Is crossing the border a hassle?

It beats going to work anyway!

Jane, Thursday was our Holiday, so I think they took advantage of it. The casino's in Niagara Falls don't have to charge cheap prices as there are plenty of tourists that will pay to stay there and probably not gamble at all.

Crossing the border can be a real pain in the butt. The lineups to get over were horrible on the Thursday when we were coming home. On Thursday morning it took my cousin 3 hours to cross the bridge. That's the reason we don't do it very often.

We went to Niagara Falls two years ago at Christmas and went through the third degree crossing back into US. We passed after the one guy asked us each a NY Yankee question and we got them right (car very decorated with NYY stuff).
