Ever since we've been down here and turned down the option to buy the house we're renting, we've been looking for a house here. Have probably looked at 20 and 100's more online. Well, we finally have one. Put in an offer for a house, went back & forth, and have a signed agreement from the seller. We sign our end tomorrow morning. Good size, nice neighborhood. The only thing we'll need to do is fence in some of the backyard, ( and paint some rooms.)
Here's a link:
http://www.american-way.com/details_reside...lsnumber=146287I dread moving again, but at least it's a local move, not long distance, and we should have 30 days or so overlap with both houses.

Sparkman,
I'm glad you are getting that issue resolved. I get tired thinking of moving again!
Good luck in the new 'hood.

Looks good! That overlap will help tremendously with the move. We did that when moving my mom and it was a lot easier though we still had one big moving day at the end.

Unbelievable what you get for $258,000 out there!
I couldn't buy my kitchen for that in SoCal.

(I may need to move soon)
Looks good, Sparkman.

Good luck!

Thanks all. Native, I didn't pay $258k, got them down $10k. Those $$ are going into a fence for the dogs.

That is a great house!

Lot of rooms to fill!
I like their painting, except maybe the lime green bathroom.

Very nice, I'm sure it's great to finally be getting completely settled.
Wish I could move to TN, my money would go a whole lot further.
Good luck with your move.

A few interesting updates on the house.
Got the appraisal back today, aprraised @ $20,500 more than were paying for it, Instant (Paper) Equity. And this appraiser measured the house @ 3756 square ft, with a 2300 square ft basement. 6000 square ft under cover. Damn, I knew it was big, but it a damn big house.
And, the big irony, the last name of the sellers: Sparkman! The hbouse was meant to be ours!

Wow, their name was really Sparkman! That is almost eerie!
It sounds like a great move. That's a lot of house.

Congratulations Sparkman.
What are the odds of the seller having that name.
The link changed so I didn't see the pictures but it sounds great.
